MAACS Episode 1
This is the first video I took during the 2008 MAACS experiment, but it's actually
the 11th time I've built or re-built the simulator because of a major structural
change or a change in the way we make it move.
You'll see that we've settled on motion around a single axis. It moves in the
pitch axis only. I'll go in to more detail about that decision in a later video.
Also remember, I never intended for these videos to be public. I made these
videos for family and friends so they could see the progress of the experiment.
If someone stopped by the house to see the MAACS flight simulator, they saw it
was usually in various states of disassembly. It might be functioning at that
time, or maybe not. When visitors came by, I showed them these videos....
after they signed a non-disclosure agreement. This was a secret program.
